This week was Avery's second doctor's visit, at 2 months old and 1 week. I was a little nervous in anticipation for the visit because she was getting her first set of shots and the doctor and nurses suggested i give her baby Tylenol beforehand to ease her pain, but I really didn't want to get in the habit of drugging her up, so we skipped it. Although she's been extra fussy since the shots, i think the doctor scared her when he tested her neurological reflex by laying her down and lifting her up by her hands then dropping her, which scared her and now she keeps jerking around when she falls asleep and waking herself back up. Back to the swaddle again.Doctor says she's 23.5 inches long and 12.1 pounds, which puts her at the 95th percentile in length and 90th percentile in weight. Sheesh, what a little rolly polly! Her head circumference puts her at only 25th percentile, which coulda fooled us - just look at that big head.
Avery getting measured for her height
She was being pretty cooperative, not much whining, just wiggling on the bed and staring at the doctor. But she knows now, doctor's office means shots and poking. Next time she won't be so cooperative.

YAY!! Congratulations on your first blog, Avery!
Whoohoo! Avery's got her own blog now! :) Wow, she's a big girl too! Tyler was always really high %s for weight/length, but always really low for his head circumference too!
What a cutie! I love her smile.
How come her first word is not KOF?
