Avery's stats at 9 month appt:
Weight: 20.5 lbs 70th percentile
Height: 29.5 inches 95th percentile (heLLO!)
Head Circumference: 18 inches 90th percentile - we knew that big head would catch up! Is it all brain inside? Nope. All mush.
Actually, no, I don't have anything in my mouth. Yoewza! Where'd she get height from? (actually the pediatrician was surprised too, asked us how tall we were, obviously we are no Yao Mings. But if we were, then that kid would be prob off the charts. On a side note, I was watching the Rockets/Lakers game last night and feeling sorry for the uterus that would bear Yao Ming's really big baby. Don't get me started on the poor vagina. Ok, back on track)
Gone are the days when she would just lay on the doctor's bed, smiling and playing with the doctor and nurse. Looong gone. She was upset being laid down, upset when the doc put a ear thing in her ear, upset when nurse measured her heartbeat, measured her head and length, weight...basically everything just pissed her off. Oh boy.
We did learn some mildly troubling news that Avery was not given her third dose of Rotavirus vaccine by the previous baby doc at her 6 month appt. Now its passed the window and she can't take that vaccine anymore beyond 8 months. Great. If she gets rotavirus diarrhea I'm gonna be sooo pissed. Apparently most babies get it before 5 years old. Ugh.
Oh, and we have to give her a more well-rounded diet of solids now: Stage 3 diet. More meats and some cereals. The nurse asked me how many servings of meat do I give her a day? Blank stare. How many servings of cereal I give her a day? Blank stare again. Oops.
