What did you say?Sometimes she gets so tired in the evening that after her milk, she'll look at me and say "sui jiao", hold her arms out for me to pick her up, then start waving bye bye to her Daddy, to the TV, to her toys. Then when we get up to her room, she sees her crib and immediately goes dead weight in my arms as she waits for me to lay her down so she can roll into her favorite sleeping position.
Now that she's actually letting us know things, you kind of understand the decision-making process of a toddler, which is basically totally indecisive. Sometimes she'll tell me she wants to sui jiao, and she looks visibly tired, but its only been 2 hours since she woke up. In this case if you put her in her crib, she will try to sleep but can't fall asleep and end up crying for half an hour "nevermind! I changed my mind!". But too bad, you make a decision, you stick with it, kiddo! (she falls asleep eventually, like after half an hour of complaining)
When she's hungry she'll say "yum yum" (more like "ahm ahm") after her naps. Works well, because she used to be very resistant to anyone putting food in her mouth, and now that she's asking for food, she's more receptive come lunch time. But sometimes she will say "yum yum" for a snack, eat like 2 pieces of cheese and cereal, and say "All Done! All Done Alldonealldonealldone" wanting to get out of the high chair after 3 minutes. Aye!
Atleast now that there's communication, she is better able to express her needs without having to whine and throw tantrums.
In other news, Cal Football beat Minnesota this Saturday, moving our ranking up to #6 in the nation. Sweet! Go BEARS! Do the victory dance, Avery!
Hold up. Time for a poopoo break.
