This morning we went to the pediatrician's office for Avery's 25 month. Its supposed to be 24 months but the doc was on a month-long vacation so now its 25 months.
On the 25 month curve:
Head; 19.5" Circumference. Grew 1 inch in 7 months.
Height: 34.5" above 50%. Grew 2.5" in 7 months
Weight: 27.5" above 50% Grew 3.5lbs in 7 months.
Oh good, she's back above 50th percentile for weight! the kid doesn't eat that well - sometimes she eats really well, other days she just barely eats. We think she ingests most of her nutrients through her milk intake. The kid can drink 3-4 8 oz bottles of milk a day if we let her. We generally give her about 27 oz a day. One gallon lasts barely a week! The doc says to start moving her to 2%. But how else am I gonna keep those loafy thighs so chubby? on the other hand, she is really getting heavy, ugh.
Standing on the scale. I told her "stand on the scale and don't move". And she did that. Then the nurse measured her height by telling her to stand against the wall and she did that too. Much different than the last appointment! Thanks for the participation sweetie! Actually we've been practicing this at home. We have a scale and i tell her to stand there and don't move and then I say WOW Avery is 26 pounds! or whatevers. So she gets the concept.
Getting her head measured. This kid has always had a big ol' head!
She took three shots today. Yeah i know its alot for one day. Hep A, Prevnar (ear infections) and Flu/h1n1. But i figure she can handle it. I mean she's never really had adverse reactions to any vaccines and next month I'm putting her into school soon so I think we should be on the safe side!
She laid down on the bed and everything, i held her hands up over her head and, yeah, she cried and said I DON"T LIKE IT!! I DON"T LIKE IT!! and then it was over and she had her Dora and Tinkerbell stickers. She took them in her hands while her big crocodile tears were falling down her face and stopped crying. Then I picked her up and the little politician to me "Maybe we go say thank you to doctor?" hehe. Silly girl. So we went outside and she was too shy to say thank you, but she waved bye bye. And as we were leaving she asked me "what about other doctor?" since there were a couple nurses that helped us. She's hilarious.
Another round of shots, bites the dust!

Shots are never fun! Not even when you're older and wiser. :)
Any new blog updates?! :)
