Oh, The Younger Days

So many events these past years have made me feel like I'm getting older, first growing out of the happy college years of carefree learning, then the inevitable task of facing the real world as an adult, getting marriage, and becoming a mother. Being an adult is hard. Sometimes, you just gotta be a kid again!
This is me. I am rolling out of an inflatable obstacle course in the shape of a giant crocodile. I am the third leg in a relay race (Mommies vs Non-Mommies), and I just lost my team the lead. DAMN that hill climb!
This is Howard. He is coming down a giant inflatable slide, and scaring the bejezus out of his 10 month daughter. She is such a wuss.

I would like to note that I kicked howard's butt in the football passing arena. SCORE! TOUCHDOWN!!
Howard is doing circles with a bat on his forehead. He is the the third leg of a doomed relay race, while the fourth leg of the opposing team is already finishing up. He did however, have the chance to redeem himself in the next relay race, in which he gave his team a gigantic lead and won the race. His secret is to jump the hills instead of climbing it. But my jump height is like, 3". So, that wouldn't work.
Our friends Shirley and Jesse, who are having a baby girl soon. YAY!! Look at that gorgeous belly and zero excess baby fat. She makes pregnancy look sO GOOD. 8+ months pregnant and still walking and standing around at length chit-chatting like she's actually enjoying it. hehe. Seriously, the best baby shower EVER!
Avery even got to grope the to-be-mommy. Watch those sneaky paws!

We've got cuts and bruises to prove it.
How bout a birthday party here, Avery? No. Maybe in a couple years, when her noise-level tolerance is higher, and she is less of a big fat scaredy-cat!
