For Halloween this year, I did not do as much planning as I did
last year, when I dressed Avery up as a tiny monkey and Howard as her Banana-side-kick. This year the novelty wore off and Daddy stood up for himself, refusing to dress up. What a party pooper. Instead he wanted me to do it. Well alright. But it didn't work out that way, because I ended up getting Avery's costume on clearance at $9.99 at Babies R Us (AWESOME deal), then I couldn't find an adult costume of a honey pot to go with her Pooh, so... it just didn't work out! Maybe next year!
Ready guys? Let's go trick or treating!

Got my Pooh costume on, my shell toes, my Elmo treat basket. Ok, lets do this! Posing in front of the house with her pumpkins.

Avery was clearly excited about walking outside, even though she didn't really know what we were doing. It was enough that she was going to see Kate!

Jasmine was dressed as a leaf fairy! Soooo cute, with little wings in the back.

Blanca was a bee!

Kate was a Kangaroo! So cute, with a little mommy pouch and baby Roo in the the pocket. hee hee. She wasn't feeling well, but came out to play a little bit anyway. What a trooper! Avery kinda didn't recognize Kate at first, kept asking for Kecha! Kecha! even though she was right in front of her, hehe.
We went to our first house, fully decked out with goblins and ghosts.

Avery bravely led the pack. Whoa. This ghost was a scary!

A little bit nervous. Tell me again Mommy, what are we doing in front of this guy's house?

The babies wait bravely for the door to open. Our neighbor handed out candies to each of them. I had to hold out Avery's Elmo basket because she forgot to do it, getting mesmerized by the concept of someone opening the door and being able to see the inside of his house. She just stood there. And then after she got her candy, she would linger at the door while other kids came and went, looking inside and inappropriately pointing at things inside the house, making exclamations like Dog! Dog! Wah (water) Hua! (flower) I think she was just making small talk with the neighbors, didn't wanna be rude and just leave with candy! hehe
She wouldn't leave on her own accord, so I would have to pick her up and take her away, otherwise I'm pretty sure she'd try and go inside...

Finally the neighbor shut the door (big dog inside wanting to sniff Pooh's head) so, off we went to another house!

Group picture! In front of our neighbor's rad looking lawn decoration. Jasmine was intrigued.

The Daddies out in full force!

Oh wow, this is awkward. Big Pooh, meet Little Pooh! hehe

This house has had these scary ghosts out on their lawn for weeks now, every morning Avery would walk by with Julie the Nanny and sometimes me. She'd make the same face as on the ghost, OOOhhh! copycat!

Grandma and Grandpa came by to join in on the fun!

Lets go! On to the next house guys!

Here we are, earning a treat with a trick - dance dance! Such a showoff!
We ended the night after about an hour of walking around the neighborhood with throngs of kids dressed up as ninjas, starwars, super mario bros (mario and luigi) and we even saw a tiny little red devil. so cute! Its nice to live in a friendly neighborhood with other young families.
That night, she slept well. Woke up a couple hours later than usual, so she automatically adjusted to Daylight Savings! Job well done!

Yay! I'm happy to hear Avery enjoyed her 2nd Halloween! I'm surprise she wasn't scared of the spooky decorations... unlike Tyler the big chicken, who also hates spiders/spider webs!
haha! Tyler was such a cute little elephant, he seemed like he had so much fun. Avery was a little nervous about the spooky decorations, but I don't think it registered that she should be scared of them. I dunno. I think she just didn't get it yet. hehe Once we were at Lowes and there was a billowing black cape ghost thing and avery got scared and ran. That was funny.
